Senior Technical Sales Representative

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Senior Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving the sales of our advanced proprietary technical solutions to new and existing customers, especially commercial customers. You will leverage your deep understanding of technology and exceptional sales skills to develop and execute strategic sales plans. Your role will involve working closely with customers to understand their needs, presenting tailored solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets.· Identify and prioritize potential clients and market segments.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring prompt and accurate responses.
- Conduct regular follow-ups and account reviews to ensure customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
Technical Expertise:
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of our products and services, and how they address customer challenges.
- Provide technical guidance and support to customers during the sales process, including product demonstrations and technical presentations.
- Collaborate with the technical team to ensure solutions are technically viable and align with customer requirements.
Sales Process Management:
- Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to customer needs.
- Lead proposal development including: storyboarding, writing assignments, authoring content, developing formal pricing in resource loaded Microsoft Project schedules and Excel sheets, finalizing and delivering proposals.
- Negotiate terms and conditions of sales agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute lead generation campaigns.
- Partner with product development teams to provide customer feedback and insights for product improvement.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from sales to delivery.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and new opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and customer interactions in our CRM system.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The following are the minimum qualifications required for eligibility for this role.
- Master of Business Administration degree
- >4 years of experience in commercial and government sales of composite products
- Demonstrated proficiency in sales strategy tools such as Value Proposition Canvas, Business Model Canvas
- Demonstrated proficiency in conducting formal proposal processes such as Shipley
- Demonstrated proficiency developing resource loaded schedules in Microsoft Project
- · Demonstrated proficiency in cost volume generation using ProPricer
- Demonstrated proficiency managing a portfolio of customers tracking sales leads and proposals
- Demonstrated proficiency capturing commercial contracts >$5M
- Demonstrated ability to work in a small, dynamic team environment with minimal oversight
- Willingness to travel as required to meet with customers and attend industry events
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- >8 years of experience in commercial sales of composite products
- Demonstrated proficiency capturing commercial and government contracts >$10M
- Expert level experience in ProPricer
- Expert level experience in Microsoft Project Server
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work flexible hours on-site to support production schedules.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Compensation will vary based on demonstrated proficiency in skills, professional experience, and education. The expected compensation range for this job is: $95,000.00 - $130,000.00/per year
