Job Purpose and Impact
The Continuous Improvement Lead will develop, implement, and sustain process improvement initiatives. In this role, you will conduct continuous improvement activities with low to medium project cost and risk and activities with well-defined processes for multiple locations. As trusted advisors, CI leads are focused on training and coaching of site & business teams to build a culture of problem solving, reinforcing that “CI is for everyone.”
You’ll play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement both in our California processing facility and in our live-side business operations in Arkansas, Missouri, and Virginia. This role will implement and maintain established continuous improvement initiatives at the California processing facility, while also leading the development of these tailored initiatives for our live-side operations.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide updates on project objectives, performance measures, issues, and risks to plant leadership
- Responsible for influencing and inspiring a culture of improvement through waste elimination, kaizen, and excellence through personal and team respect, accountability, and engagement
- Identify, monitor, and implement continuous improvement best practices
- Develop and handle continuous improvement plans for projects to reach and sustain established goals
- Conduct organization readiness assessments, value realization, opportunity prioritization, resource evaluation, and execute continuous improvement strategies that meet business needs
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of two years of directly related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience applying lean manufacturing principles and pursuing continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment
- Proven track record of an applied analytical, systematic, and solution-oriented mindset
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt degree or higher certification

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
