Job Description:
Server support to include applying updates, performing configuration changes and routine backups.
Configure servers according to user requirements and documented best practices.
Provides daily phone and desk side technical support for around 450 users.
Perform routine system updates, system upgrades and patching security vulnerabilities.
Imaging new laptops through PXE booting.
Upgrading and migrating computers to new hardware.
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well in a team and independently.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Ability to obtain administrative privileges on supported systems including CompTIA Security+ within the first 90 days of employment
Technical knowledge of Linux and Windows computing environments, protocols, networks and Microsoft desktop applications. PowerShell scripting a plus.
