Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control, responsible for conducting testing procedures during manufacturing processes to ensure products comply with quality standards.. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality system improvements to comply with business plan goals
- Lead daily BQ meetings and follow up PDCA process for improvement.
- Lead AIAG document up-date between departments to reflect countermeasures or improvements for internal and external issues.
- Participate on Customer Concerns follow up & response.
- Performed process audits to confirm countermeasures effectiveness and maturation
- Lead activities for quality inspectors’ improvements to prevent defect escapes to customers.
- Co-Lead Layered process audits to reinforce process standardization and to ensure that system meet control plan requirements and countermeasure effectiveness.
- Prepare and present quality weekly report for internal quality issues and improvement activities.
- Prepare Control Plan and Inspection instructions to comply with product specification.
- Participate in Lamination recipes Analysis, validation and Approval
- Supervise Quality Leader and Supervisor activities
- Support new launch and Engineering Changes trials and quality tasks
- Evaluate capability studies for process and product
- Train personnel in quality criteria
- Coordinate internal containment activities and Quality awareness for customer issues
- Issue Quality Criteria Manual and Boundary samples as required
- Maintain and follow up Internal issues log sheet (Scrap and IPPM).
- Coordinate and administrated Lab work
- Coordinate and control QC-Hold area and follow up on materials disposition
- Prepare weekly QC-Hold status report for management
- Lead 5-S
- Lead Horizontal deployment activities for internal processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or relevant work experience
- 3-5 years quality control experience
- v Math and statistics skills
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good written and verbal skills in English and Spanish Japanese (Plus)
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to communicate with all levels of Associates
- Ability to work independently from general supervision
- Excellent organization skills with ability to perform multiple tasks and obtain results working within strict time frames
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
- Ability to read and comprehend engineering specifications and drawings
- Proficient knowledge of manufacturing process
