General purpose of job:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Human Resources, this position is responsible for the daily administration of the District’s benefit plans and routine Human Resource duties.
Position Responsibilities:
● Responsible for the daily administration of all benefit plans including, but not limited to, medical, dental, health reimbursement account, flexible spending, vision plans, and disability plans.
● Responsible for the routine administration of leave of absence paperwork including verifying eligibility, sending paperwork, and following up on missing forms.
● Verify changes due to qualifying events and update benefit portal entries.
● Performs benefit onboarding for new employees as assigned and follows up to ensure all enrollment is completed with fidelity
● Maintain compliance with district policies and employee handbook as they relate to employee benefits and FMLA, WFMLA, and FFCRA.
● Management of Frontline System Data Input (teacher evaluation system)
● Coordination of Continuing Education Credits and Master’s Programs
● Safe Schools Staff Training Implementation and Compliance
● Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records and documents including, but not limited to, transfers, terminations, new hires, retirements, resignations, change of status and leaves of absence.
● Maintain high standards of confidentiality, attendance, and flexibility while working cooperatively with supervisors and other employees
● Assist in compiling reports to the Department of Public Instruction, and other agencies as needed
● Maintain all required Federal and State employment postings
● Monitor time off requests to ensure they are properly coded and also to ascertain need for FMLA or other type of extended leaves.
● Track and prepare routine reports such as termination log, change paperwork,

Knowledge, Skills Abilities, and Qualifications:
● High school diploma or equivalent required. 2 or 4 year degree preferred, but not required, in a Business or Human Resources related area.
● Knowledge of or experience with benefits and benefit plans strongly preferred.
● Excellent oral/written communication skills
● Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, and Internet applications
● Ability to read and interpret documents such as benefit plan documentation and governmental regulations. This includes the ability to produce routine reports and documentation as needed.
● Ability to set priorities, strong time management skills, and excellent organizational skills
● Ability to handle high levels of confidential information in a professional manner.
● Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive interactions with staff, Administration, and the public
● Ability to operate at a high level with multiple changing priorities.
