Essential Functions

1. Coordinates and manages the specialty rental / purchase process for network providers, as well as the Letters of Agreement (Single Patient Agreements) and paper claim process for non-network providers. Maintains the publication of regional preferred provider listings for regular distribution to participants, sales personnel and other in-house staff.
2. Monitors all assigned requests either via Salesforce.com Network Management Queue or requests received via phone or email to ensure continuity of patient care within 24 business hours.
3. Procures equipment, supplies and services and negotiates fair pricing based on internal policies and procedures to ensure fair market pricing. Communicates equipment and service request status to all affected internal and external customers to ensure urgent patient care needs are met in a timely manner. Enters and tracks all assigned equipment or service requests via Salesforce.com and provides real-time updates for internal stakeholders and quality department.
4. Under Supervision of the Regional Director and in Collaboration with the Provider Contracts Coordinator, negotiates with external DME provider owners and contracts for new and active clients using a fee schedule provided as assigned by the Regional Director or Provider Contracts Coordinator. This includes prospecting new DME Providers, negotiating and entering contract changes, pricing modifications and formulary additions to better service our Clients.
5. Processes provider applications and contracting documents, including updating all centralized software systems and recruitment files.

1. Evaluates active job policies and procedures to ensure efficient operation. Will submit new ideas to supervisor for implementation consideration.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education, Licensure or Certification:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field is preferred
Work Experience or Related Experience:
- A minimum of one year of procurement or customer service experience is required.
- A solid understanding of procurement functions is preferred.
- General business acumen required and usually obtained through work experience, education or training
- Durable medical equipment, pharmacy, managed care or other pertinent health care services industry experience is preferred
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent customer service skills are required in order to to preform the essential functions of the position
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Working knowledge of a PC, business and communications software (MS Office) and web-based tools are required
- The ability to be proactive and self-directed utilizing good time management, decision-making, and organization skills is required.
- Incumbents must be able to prioritize multiple tasks
- Must have the ability to work effectively in a fast pace entrepreneurial environment
