Reports to: Member Service Manager
Requirements: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree or at least three years’ related experience in the field

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist the Member Service Manager in supervising, training and evaluating all Member Service Representatives

Assist in branch management of all branches
-
Research any discrepancies on EOD reports (MSR’s, EOD etc.) and manage any entries, transactions, deletions and/or reversals as needed

Verify iPay Payments
-
Balance and replenish ATM machine and its gl’s (cash, receipts)
-
Balance cash in vault then balance with core system general ledger and vault spreadsheet
-
Replenish teller cash drawer as needed
-
Train Member Service Representatives as needed
-
Receive/Return cash and/or coin delivery and verify total by counting all cash and/or coin received/returned is complete

Assist members and /or MSR’s with any problems as needed

Open and close credit union for daily operations
-
Any Transaction of cash over $10,000.01 notify Member Service Manager CTR is needed

Review cash over $3000 compliance log notify Member Service Manager SAR/CTR is needed

Follow Credit Union internal control policies and procedures

Maintain a professional attitude, present an appropriate image for the organization
-
Ensure that work area / branch is organized, clean and well presented at all times.

Answer telephone and provide information /assistance or route caller to appropriate staff member
-
Answer personal and telephone inquires from members and potential members re: CU services, policies and procedures, etc
-
Check receptionist voicemail answer and/or distribute them appropriately.

Greet everyone who comes to the office and direct them to appropriate individual (when necessary verify documentation)

Process End of Day - balance out window MSR, balance and transmit end of day check deposits and lock cash drawer and money in vault at EOD

File / scan daily work, membership cards, share draft account applications & credit union member documents etc as needed

Print report from Money Order / Money Grams and make general ledger entries if applicable

Attend and participate in general and member service staff meetings, professional development seminars, workshops and trainings.

Open and distribute the mail as needed

Open new accounts (regular share, share draft, club, etc) perform eligibility status (OFAC, Chexsystem)

Assist members in completing lending applications such as consumer loan, credit cards etc.

Assist members with requests for special services, such as ordering Debit cards, checks, copies of share drafts, direct deposit instructions, signature verification, credit card inquiry, incoming and outgoing wires, etc.

Cross-sell other credit union services while assisting a member’s specific request, answer inquiries from members and potential members regarding credit union membership and services.

Perform member education activities, such as teaching members to use an Debit card, reading statements, etc.

Perform one-on-one member education in basic CU products and services, as needed
-
Perform on-line transactions (in person, by mail or by phone): process deposits (including check holds), withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, fees, money orders, direct deposit, check withdrawals, payroll deduction, etc.

Open and distribute the mail as needed

Perform other duties as assigned by management for the smooth and efficient operation of the credit union.
