Job Summary:
- Assignment is in the Engineering department to support and lead Power Supply (PS), project engineering, system engineering, test engineering and production.
- Military (DoD) experience is desirable, and understanding of requirements through requirements matrix analysis of both the statement of work (SOW) and product detail specification is required.
- Must have experience with converter types and have the analytical capability to support one type of converter over another type.
- Must be knowledgeable in switching power technologies and DC-DC as well as AD-DC converters. Must have working experience in meeting EMIC requirements through detail testing and design of effective EMI filtering techniques.
- Proficient in development of schematics and use of Altium schematic capture and circuit analysis (SPICE). Experience with magnetic design and analysis.
- Participate in design reviews, design test fixtures, and draft test specifications for production use.
- Understand de-rating components in design, liability calculations and thermal balancing of component placement
- Surface mount technology experience with component selection validation experience.
- Set-up and establish ESS screening test equipment & fixtures including programming for temperature cycle or vibration testing.
- Good understanding of English for reading, writing and general communication (including meeting participation) is required.
- Good understanding of ISO and AS standards and how process and metrics are used in the product development processes (including work product bidding) is also required.
- Will trouble shoot designs to final design and build of prototypes, EDM and initial production transition of PS builds.
- Write technical reports
- Must have a clear understanding of document configuration control processes and be able to write production build instructions.
- Must be PC proficient and have advanced knowledge of and experience using test equipment in test lab including but not limited to ATE equipment (programming is a plus), Deep memory oscilloscopes, DMM's, Phase/Gain measurement, External Power Sources, DC and AC (1-phase and 3-phase), Programmable Electronic loads, Temperature Meters/Thermal Couples, and Accelerometers.
Job Requirements:
- Support customer requirements including the circuit schematic through complete prototype build including engineering test equipment design and test procedures.
- Must have 5 years minimum experience with Switching Power Supply design (MIL-STDs) through proven development lessons learned defining switching regulators and AC-DC & DC-DC converters meeting military EMIC requirements.
- Must have a minimum of a 4 year B.S. degree (preferably E.E.), or with equal hands-on Power Supply testing experience
- Able to develop parametric trade study analysis and technical road map understanding for R&D responsibilities.
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, Altium Schematic Capture (board design – layout a plus).
- The position requires U.S. Citizenship.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
