GENERAL PURPOSE:
Responsible for planning, coordinating, managing and directing all EMR systems including patient care systems and general office systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Two years college education with emphasis in information systems preferred, licensed RN required.

At least two years of experience in health care electronic medical system management, preferably in home care operations.

Knowledge of corporate business management

Demonstrates good communications and public relations skills

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Directs all EMR operations and assists with the establishment and implementation of electronic medical system policies.

Protects the confidentiality of information contained within the systems through effective user controls, system auditing, and direct supervision of electronic systems operations. Assures that HIPAA security standards are incorporated into procedures.

Protects organization assets and ensures proper utilization of organization resources by securing software and hardware from unauthorized use and theft, and through the protection of copyright agreements.

Ensures integration and seamless system functioning that allows flow of data between software applications.

Works with the management team in identifying EMR needs and develops an system enhancement plan designed to meet those needs.

Assists the COO/Administrator in the preparation of the system annual budget and monitors allocation of funds with budgetary limitations.

Orients new personnel and arranges for in-service education, as appropriate.

Submit OASIS files to state with follow up clinical analysis.
