KOTRA(Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) is a government agency established for promoting trade and investment in Korea. KOTRA Washington is hiring a research associate who can contribute to enhancement of US-KOR trade. Please review the position's duties/responsibilities carefully and apply.

(2) Description of the job
Research Assistant works on monitoring US policies(especially trade policies), analyzing trade statistics and writing analytical reports regarding US-KOR relations and trades.
(3) Core Responsibilities
- Monitor US policies(export control, semiconductor, climate, tech and etc.)
- Analyze key statistics(export, import, CPI, employment rate, etc.)
- Summarize current trade issues and write short articles
- Write analytical reports on US-KOR trade, US export controls, G2G trade and etc.
- Understand and learn about various industries and environment
(4) Basic Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or equivalent degree from a recognized university in a field related to the position, including but not limited to trade and international relations.
- Language: Full Professional Proficiency in English and Korean, both written and spoken (is understood as the ability to speak and write the language with clients and stakeholders with a rich and appropriate vocabulary, a clear and fluent rhythm with little or no hesitations, little or no mistakes with regards to spelling, vocabulary, grammar or syntax, and with minimal accent).
- Candidates who have relevant experiences in think tanks, international organizations in one or more of the following sectors are preferred
- Demonstrate to provide strategic briefings and written reports on trade issues.
- Can work under varying work pressures and strong desire to work in collaborative environment
- Must be able to work in the U.S. legally
- Mustn't have any reason for disqualification to travel Korea and abroad according to the Rep. of Korea's Immigration Control Act

- First day of employment : around late June-early July
- Contract period : ~ December 31st, 2024
- Working time : Mon. ~ Fri . 9 to 5
- - Federal holidays, 4 of the South Korean holidays (follows the Korean embassy)
- During 3 months of probational period, you will receive 90% of the salary
- - We will make a final decision your employment after the probational period.
- Remote work : once a week(6) Posting period

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
Schedule:
