Position Summary:
We are looking for a Procurement Analyst in Salt Lake City, UT.
Instrumental in driving key procurement and supply chain initiatives. This role requires extensive experience in procurement, supplier management, and project management. Oversee the implementation of strategic procurement projects, enhance supplier performance, and lead projects to optimize our supply chain processes. This role involves evaluating and improving procurement processes, managing vendor relationships, and leading key projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement function.
Responsibilities:

Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to drive cost savings and optimize supplier performance.

Utilize advanced analytics tools for spend analysis, cost-saving identification, and procurement reporting.

Develop and manage supplier risk assessment processes.

Demonstrate exceptional negotiation skills for securing favorable supplier terms.

Manage procurement-related projects from inception to completion.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams for project alignment.

Develop detailed project plans with timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.

Execute strategic sourcing plans to optimize supplier performance.

Foster strong partnerships with key suppliers for continuous improvement.

Implement best practices and standardized procedures for operational effectiveness.

Establish and maintain supplier performance metrics and reporting systems.

Identify and develop new suppliers for a robust supply base.

Provide informal leadership and mentorship to the buyer staff.

Act as a liaison between internal departments and suppliers.

Lead training sessions and support procurement staff on new processes and technologies.

Participate in the continual improvement of company safety, compliance, and core values.

Foster a positive work environment and promote good company morale.

Works in a safe manner, following all safety policies and procedures while keeping in mind other’s safety as well.

Required Skills/Abilities

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, CPSM, CPP, CSCP or CPPB preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a buyer or purchasing role, with a strong focus on supplier management and procurement.

Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale procurement projects.

Extensive knowledge of procurement and supply chain principles, practices, and trends.
-
Proficiency in ERP systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics, and advanced Excel skills.

Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Proficient with MS 365 software, Teams, SharePoint.

Knowledge of overhead cranes, preferred.
Language Skills:

Can read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:

Can add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet software, Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet, Word Processing software, and experience with ERP systems.
