Vintage Underground Boston is looking for an experienced retail store operations manager with a passion for sustainable fashion. The person in this role will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the retail store, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, leading the sales team, overseeing marketing strategies, and managing inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the store, ensuring a clean, organized, and inviting environment.
- Implement store policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Develop and implement loss prevention procedures.
- Recruit, train, and supervise store staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Schedule and manage staff shifts, ensuring adequate coverage during peak times.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities for staff.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer inquiries, and resolving complaints in a professional manner.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Plan and oversee in-store promotions, events, and marketing campaigns to drive traffic and sales.
- Oversee various marketing strategies to promote the store and its unique product offerings.
- Monitor and manage the store's budget, expenses, and financial performance.
- Prepare and analyze sales reports, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and reconciliation of daily sales.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in retail management or as an assistant manager
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies
- Ability to work flexible hours: Tuesday through Saturday
