The North Dakota Stockmen’s Association is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented technology support professional with effective problem-solving and communication skills. Major tasks will include training and supporting brand inspection staff in the organization’s new computerized inspection program, troubleshooting technical programs for on-site and in-field team members, procuring and setting up necessary equipment and archiving brand documents. Opportunities exist for either a full-time position or a part-time position. The position is based out of the Bismarck office. A limited amount of travel, including overnight stays, within the state will be required.
Skills:
Applicants should be proficient in Windows, Mac and IPad operating systems and Microsoft Office programs. They should be knowledgable of the Apple Developer platform, Apple Business Manager, Apple Test Flight, the Verizon Mobile Device Manager system, the Kerio Connect e-mail administrative platform and small office networking and computer/printer networking and IO interfaces. Attention to detail and accuracy; strong organizational, analytical and in-person, over-the-phone and written communication skills; and the ability to teach and support individuals with varying degrees of experience are critical. Livestock industry experience would be helpful, but is not required.
Responsibilities:
The Technology Support Specialist will have these primary responsibilities:
- Ordering, maintaining and tracking Apple IPads, mobile printers and related equipment.
- Installing, configuring and monitoring systems.
- Training brand inspectors on the computerized inspection platform and best practices.
- Troubleshooting technology issues with brand inspectors.
- Interfacing with the contracted computer programmer to offer feedback and test systems.
- Supporting the Brand Inspection program with data management, archival and related matters.
- Preparing budget estimates used by executives to plan, organize and schedule work.
- Others as directed to support other staff and volunteer leaders.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants should have an information technology, computer science, business or related degree or certification or relatedinformation technology experience, a strong work ethic and a commitment to the objectives of the organization.

The Technology Support Specialist will be offered competitive compensation. A full-time Technology Support Specialist will also be offered a benefits package, including vacation, health insurance and a 401(k) savings plan with a company match.
