VIAS3D, headquartered in Houston, Texas, is actively looking for a Simulation Business Development Executive (BDE) for their Engineering Consulting division based in the USA (www.vias3d.com/services). The ideal candidate should preferably be located in either California, Washington, Illinois, Michigan, New York, or Massachusetts. It is a senior level role and will identify and grow trusted relationships to engage new customers and expand servicing existing clients’ needs for Simulation (FEA, CFD, EMAG), Design, Automation and Digital Twin offerings.
The ideal candidate should have a ‘Client First’ mindset and proven track record in Modeling & Simulation Consulting (CAE), with exposure to one or more of the industries such as Life Sciences, Consumer Packaged Goods & Retail, High Tech, Manufacturing and Industrial Equipment, Automotive verticals. Must possess organizational, leadership and time management skills with ability to build long-term relationships throughout the client’s organization.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Research potential client companies to understand their organizational structure, stakeholders, and challenges and develop new relationships and cultivate future growth plans.
- Utilize market research, existing personal contacts, and company generated prospects and establish competitive advantages to drive the consultative business development process through closure.
- Manage existing client relationships in collaboration with technical team to achieve year over year revenue growth.
- Cultivate long-standing and trusted relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with management, technical, sales and marketing to articulate and identify appropriate solutions for potential clients.
- Focus on revenue growth and identify long-term engagement opportunities, which lead to supporting a diversified client base.
- Manage sales pipeline and track metrics to ensure targets are met.
Skills/Requirements:
- Must have demonstratable history with reaching revenue targets and achieving growth in the past.
- Familiarity with modeling and simulation consulting business project support and training.
- Experience with closing multi-year dedicated on-site support deals.
- Experience with identifying and structuring modeling & simulation workflow and business process automation to help clients with digital transformation journey.
- Must be able to resolve conflict and leverage negotiation skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, presentation abilities and communication skills.
- Ability to influence, collaborate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Travel in USA and Canada as required.
- Understanding of industry prevalent CAE software solutions such as SIMULIA - Abaqus, ANSYS, Star-CCM+, Altair, Solidworks.
- Able to mentor others.
- Must be coachable - lifelong learner mindset.
Qualifications:
- 5 to 8+ Years experience related experience in Business Development for Modeling and Simulation (CAE) consulting
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year College or University in Engineering, Technology or related field preferrable
- Must be conversant with using digital tools for lead generation, tracking, and nurturing (e.g. LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Zoho CRM, ..)
Compensation:
- Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location
- Base salary: Starting at $75,000/yr
- Additional compensation: Target Achievement Bonus
