We are looking for a passionate and experienced Sales Account Executive to join our team and help drive our growth in Illinois.
JOB SUMMARY
The Dabstract Sales Account Executive will be our boots on the ground in Illinois - responsible for selling Dabstract into new accounts and developing meaningful partnerships, onboarding and setting up dispensaries for success, and driving Dabstract growth in the state of Illinois. You will focus on expanding relationships in new and existing partner accounts, and increasing sales and sell-through by maximizing budtender and consumer awareness and adoption. The Dabstract Sales Account Executive will be responsible for all sales and field marketing activities including visiting dispensaries to implement marketing and merchandising initiatives, schedule and educate budtenders, coordinate and manage consumer activations, and drive order fulfillment.
You will be in a pivotal role with this fast growing brand, working closely in the Dabstract team to drive revenue growth.

The Dabstract Sales Account Executive will:
- Drive sustainable sales growth.
- Build relationships with buyers and key dispensary personnel.
- Influence buyers to maintain a fresh rotation of Dabstract products at dispensaries.
- Onboard new accounts using Dabstract’s protocols and marketing assets.
- Schedule and execute budtender educations to facilitate awareness, build brand affinity to Dabstract and community among the staff.
- Analyze dispensary orders, Dabstract sales and inventory levels to understand when and how much to recommend for re-orders.
- Strategically assess dispensary promotional needs and collaborate with leadership to obtain approvals and implement the promotion.
- Schedule and execute consumer-facing activations like dispensary vendor days and consumer cannabis events to drive brand awareness and trial.
- Identify, negotiate and execute in-store merchandising placement, increasing Dabstract brand and product visibility at retail with emphasis on high impact, premium placement.
- Review and assess digital placement of Dabstract on dispensary menus to ensure accuracy of photos and descriptions.
- Plan and prioritize weekly territory routes, with focus on maximizing business-building activities in the most efficient route possible.
- Work in tandem with the BG Production Team to ensure most up-to-date menu, COAs and production calendar is communicated timely to the Dabstract team.
- Maintain an expert understanding of Dabstract products, the cannabis industry, and the IL market.
- Regular and disciplined CRM management, with weekly and daily administrative tasks.
- Attend in-person and virtual meetings with the Dabstract and Bedford Grow teams.
- Provide market information and competitive intelligence to Dabstract leadership team to support strategic planning.
- Provide feedback to Dabstract leadership team on existing marketing resources and ideas to improve in-market positioning.
- Advise and work with Dabstract on social websites, media and community participation.
- Work to satisfy dispensary needs and requests, respond to their queries within a timely manner and deliver an excellent customer experience.
- Follow Dabstract SOPs and Union Cannabis Group guidelines and rules.
- Maintain an organized storage unit and report inventory as directed by Dabstract and Bedford Grow teams.
- Adhere to state regulations including regulatory knowledge and standards compliance
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Passion for concentrates, and 3+ years working in the IL cannabis industry.
- Prior cannabis sales experience managing accounts across a statewide territory with a strong cannabis network required. Additional experience as dispensary management or field marketing lead a plus.
- A highly motivated, resilient spirit with a hustle mentality and growth mindset.
- Exceptional communication skills, including written email and training.
- Proven ability to influence with creative approaches and solution-based selling.
- Strong organizational skills, efficient planning and schedule management.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, ability to think on your feet and under pressure.

- Process-oriented and hardworking, with high attention to detail.
- Ability to attend evening and weekend events.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 or Google Suite, specifically Google Sheets. Experience with Leaf Trade is a plus.
- College degree preferred but not required.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and personal vehicle.
- Extensive state-wide travel is required, working on the road 4-5 days a week visiting customers.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to register with the state’s cannabis commissions as an agent.
Compensation
- $70,000 base salary plus quarterly bonus opportunity.
- Total annual bonus target 50% of base salary, paid quarterly.
