Materials Technician - Field

Arias is a family business with our headquarters in San Antonio, Texas. We are currently looking for candidates who have prior experience and also have their ACI certification, SB 102, and ICC certificates for our Arlington office. Those candidates will be given priority for interviews at this time. The person must be available for full time work.
We prefer candidates who are willing to learn and take exams to attain certifications to better service our customers. These certifications will also benefit the person enabling them to grow in the industry.
This position currently will require working at the DFW airport.
POSITION SUMMARY
Driving from the office to various jobsites in order perform construction materials testing to support Arias’ objectives of meeting client expectations in a timely manner. Driving and a good driving record are essential to the job.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform field testing of Soil, Concrete, and Asphalt on projects as per the applicable ASTM
Be proficient in performing general laboratory testing of soils and concrete as per the applicable ASTM
Ensure the equipment used for testing complies with the requirements of the test
Maintain a good working relationship with client and other parties involved with project

Education
Minimum: Associates Degree
Experience
3 years of experience in maintaining and operating laboratory and testing of soils, concrete, and asphalt.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily driving to jobsites (construction job sites) and performing tasks relative to that site.
Drop off equipment and samples to laboratory and complete all necessary paperwork for the day
