Summary of position:
Perform maintenance procedures on facility, facility equipment, and Resident property following Village protocol to maintain a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment. Perform maintenance and repair procedures in accordance with facility policy and good maintenance protocol. Follow maintenance and repair schedules for all areas of the facility and grounds. Follow proper procedures for care, use, maintenance and repair of equipment. Use maintenance and equipment supplies in a cost-effective and responsible manner. Perform painting, unit renovations and minor construction duties. Perform weekly standby responding to emergency after hour calls. Accept assigned duties in a professional manner. Perform all other related duties as directed. Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment.
Requirements:
Read and follow all material safety data sheets (MSDS) and know the location of the MSDS information center
Follow the facility safety programs
Identify and report to supervisor any equipment in poor condition
Follow waste control procedures in accordance with facility policy
Attend all in-service training programs
Observe infection control procedures related to the maintenance department
Observe “clean-as-you-go” habits
Keep tools and work areas clean and organized
Must communicate in English in an efficient, yet warm and friendly manner
Must have a demonstrated maintenance aptitude
Preferred experienced in drywall finishing and painting of interior and exterior walls, ceilings and trim
Experience preferred
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be able to move, stand, bend, and lift throughout the workday
Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, and materials in excess of fifty (50) pounds frequently throughout the workday
