Job description
AAC is seeking an Infrastructure Security Engineer to join a new and fast-growing Information Technology team that supports a national technology footprint. In conjunction with our various partners and MSP’s you will help configure, support, and improve the network and systems in a cloud first approach (MS Azure). This will be an opportunity to be a jack of all trades supporting all aspects of this organization's infrastructure. This role will initially entail 10-20% security responsibilities, and these responsibilities will continue grow throughout the year and throughout your tenure.
This position will begin as a 6 month contract with opportunity for extensions or conversion. This position will be work a hybrid remote schedule with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (provided needed work can be completed remotely).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist 3rd party management of IT networks including monitoring, support, and Change Management across Azure, Cisco, Juniper, and Versa technologies – ensuring the service provider maintains the health, security, and availability of the environment
· Server (Windows and Linux) configuration and administration, both physical, on-prem Hyper-V, and Azure
· Alerting/Monitoring (LogicMonitor) configuration and administration
· Keep the environment updated, patched, and maintained in a timely manner, ensuring compliance to needed control frameworks, internal and external audit requirements, and vulnerability scanning; working with our 3rd party security specialists and network service provider to review and action all vulnerabilities so as to maintain compliance, including PCI-DSS, ISO27001 and GDPR
· Create and maintain clear and concise documentation of the environment
· Exhibit excellent change control and risk management
· Provide subject matter expertise, guidance, and mentoring where applicable
· Identify opportunities to improve the technical landscape assisting in the design, documentation, and implementation of new infrastructure solutions
· Support IT Project teams in delivery of wider IT services and applications, ensuring adherence to IT infrastructure best practice and standards
· Assist in IT Change Board as needed, driving best practice in IT Service and Change Management
· Ensure security levels on network, infrastructure and servers are maintained.
· Support Network Core, Firewalls, Switches, Routers, SDWAN, VPNs, Wireless Access Points, Servers (both Windows and Linux), and other associated equipment (both on-prem and cloud)
· Work closely with our MSP providers, Service Delivery Manager and IT staff to provide outstanding service to our user community
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
· At least 5 years of experience in an engineering capacity within a hybrid (on-prem/Azure) enterprise level IT Infrastructure
· Experience with security procedures and protocols within an enterprise level IT infrastructure
· Server and storage hardware technology (Windows, Hyper V, Linux, etc.)
· Strong exposure or knowledge of enterprise level networking concepts (SD-WAN, VLAN, term ports, access ports, etc.) - hands on experience preferred but not required
· Highly preferred experience: Azure, SASE, Cyber Security

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
