Overview
DLH is seeking a Study Coordinator II to serve on a multi-disciplinary team that conducts data collection and analysis for population-based epidemiological studies on behalf of the federal government. These studies focus on the impact of military deployment and occupational and lifestyle risk factors on the health and well-being of service members, their spouses, and their dependents. This position is part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes project managers, research assistants, data analysts, epidemiologists, and data collection staff. Responsibilities
- Work with Contract Program Manager and clients to accomplish all project activities including planning timelines and budget and monitoring project progress
- Provide oversight and direction to project teams and manage all aspects of research activities from inception to close out; may support protocol development, IRB and other regulatory submissions, survey administration, and study communications
- Collaborate with epidemiologists, analysts, data managers, survey research leads, and field staff to review tasks, estimate resource needs, and prepare preliminary budgets
- Supervise research assistants, research associates, and junior study coordinators; conduct staff training, assign and direct staff activities.
- Contribute to development of study materials, including quality assurance plans, procedure manuals, and standard operating procedures.
- Generate monthly project reports and provide ad hoc progress reports to clients and project leadership
- Direct and review subcontractor and vendor work products, as needed
- Create regulatory documentation according to requirements and manage approval processes for submission
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in public health or related field plus 5 years work experience coordinating human subjects research, or
- Master's degree in public health or related field plus 3 years work experience coordinating human subjects research
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Smartsheet or other project management tools (preferred)
- Experience with regulatory compliance (IRB, human subjects protection, HIPAA compliance) (preferred)
