Essential Job Functions
- Develop and customize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for carriers based on client-specific needs.
- Collect and analyze client-specific requirements to optimize the carrier network.
- Generate and manage carrier scorecard reports to ensure accountability and monitor performance.
- Conduct quarterly performance reviews with carriers, discussing business levels and exploring new engagement opportunities.
- Design and implement core-carrier programs to expand the carrier base and increase capacity.
- Maintain a robust pipeline for carrier onboarding, overseeing the RMIS registration process, and managing the vetting, onboarding, and compliance programs.
- Assist with rate and contract setups within Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and navigate the initial contracting phase, collaborating with legal teams and managing contract redlines.
- Conduct carrier discovery sessions to identify solutions for unique transportation needs and assist operations with ad-hoc service requirements within the existing carrier network.
- Train, develop, and motivate employees to achieve peak performance and enhance their skills and responsibilities.
- Utilize benchmarks to procure transportation services at competitive rates and negotiate contracts and rate agreements.
- Act as the escalation point for carriers and internal teams to resolve service and operational issues, ensuring carrier capacity meets operational needs.
- Ensure carriers comply with government regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Communicate market conditions that may impact capacity, cost, and service, collaborating with carriers and internal teams on continual improvement initiatives.
- Develop and manage corrective action plans.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Strong understanding of the truckload industry to include equipment types, carrier capabilities, pricing and regulations
- Strong understanding of US Geography

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Works well in a team environment

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED/Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years
Certifications & Licenses
- Professional certification may be required in some areas.
