Marathon Staffing is searching for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to assist one of our clients in the Lodi Area!!This multi-craft position demands a comprehensive understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment, encompassing auxiliary parts and components, alongside basic knowledge of electricity. The incumbent will troubleshoot, repair, and enhance various equipment including material blowers, extruders, chilled water systems, compressed air systems, piping, metal fabrication, plastic compound mixing/blending systems, and a plastic grinder.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, maintaining a safe and clean work environment, and following arch flash and lockout-tagout procedures, electrical safety work program, as instructed by the supervisor.
- Possess extensive experience in industrial or heavy commercial maintenance.
- Capable of installing, maintaining, repairing, and adjusting mechanical/electrical components, controls, and equipment.
- Proficient in troubleshooting, locating, and rectifying mechanical/electrical malfunctions, utilizing appropriate tools and equipment.
- Familiarity with AC/DC motor replacement.
- Proficiency in using machine shop equipment for fabrication and repairs of components and equipment, with knowledge of lubricants and their applications.
- Basic knowledge of electricity including the ability to check for blown fuses, opens, or shorts in wiring.
- Availability to work weekends and off-shifts as required.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean work area, adhering to company safety policies, rules, and reporting all potentially hazardous working conditions or equipment.
- Ability to use a computer for tracking, documenting equipment problems, submitting/reviewing, and closing work orders, PMs, etc.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance and complete work orders as part of daily activities and assigned tasks.
- Perform general facilities maintenance as necessary.
- Any additional duties as assigned by management.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- High school diploma and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Industrial Maintenance or Pipe Extrusion.
- Ability to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to access all equipment physically; capable of working at heights up to 70 feet.
- Minimum lifting requirement of 50 pounds.
- Visual, auditory, and olfactory capabilities; forklift operation and participation in the maintenance call-out schedule.
- Mathematics aptitude and proficiency in using measuring equipment including but not limited to dial calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and depth gauges.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication.
- Physical activities include stooping, bending, standing, kneeling, reaching, climbing, pulling, pushing, crouching, walking, lifting, crawling, and twisting.
- Mandatory use of safety gear including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes.
Work Environment:
Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and vibration. Occasional exposure to high, precarious places. Work environment typically has a loud noise level.
