OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB: The Driver Attendant’s primary function is to transport client(s) safely and efficiently from a facility of origin to a facility of destination while meeting company goals.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/STANDARDS: The Driver Attendant assists in meeting company goals for transport with quick response times. The Driver Attendant also performs basic van and equipment checks prior to the start and end of the shift. The Driver Attendant also insures that the van is fueled and ready for use, has appropriate fluid levels, and keeps the van clean at all times. The Driver Attendant, directed by dispatch, responds to calls or proceeds to office/satellite station to await assignments. The Driver Attendant assists client(s) on and off van, escorts client(s) to and from each facility, and completes paperwork for each call per company policy.
PRIMARY DUTIES/TASKS:
- Arrive to the office within 30 minutes of being called by dispatcher.
- Arrive at the facility of origin in ≤ 1.5 hours of client ready time.
- Adhere to all state, local, and federal laws regarding driver safety.
- Assess client(s) for mental and medical stability prior to transport.
Work Schedule: Transports happen 24/7/365. Must be available for full shift agreed to and being on-call.
