$2 Shift Differential 2pm - 10 pm or 10 pm - 6 am
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care in a home care, hospital, nursing home, or hospice care setting
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including the use of assistive devices and lifting techniques
- Perform phlebotomy procedures for blood draws and specimen collection
- Provide catheter care and assist with urinary catheterization as needed
- Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or other cognitive impairments
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Epic
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Physical stamina to lift and move patients, as well as stand for long periods of time
