Job Title: Portfolio Budget Support Analyst
Location: Remote
Clearance Required: Public Trust
Description of Role/Responsibilities
- Support the planning of the business year (BY) and BY+1 budget to include writing budget justifications and assisting with OMB pass back activities.
- Support the closeout activities of the prior year (PY) budget.
- Support the annual kick-off budget planning process to include, but not limited to, drafting briefs, revising project/service request forms and resource planning documentation.
- Support the procurement and acquisition management process with the COR and Office of the Director.
- Monitor the status of acquisition approval requests (AAR) and maintain knowledge of Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC), the decision-making process AARs support for planning, budgeting, procurement and management of OCIO IT needs.
- Monitor and track the status of indirect and other direct costs as required.
- Provide support with budget monitoring and budget execution to include demonstrated advanced knowledge of Excel (i.e. pivot tables).
- Provide support of a working capital fund to include drafting documents and supporting the reporting requirements.
- Support the weekly and monthly reporting requirements.
- Support data calls (i.e. OMB, OCIO, etc.).
- Experience with Appropriations and Working Capital Fund
Years of Experience:
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent relevant experience
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years' financial and accounting/bookkeeping experience.
- Strong Excel experience is critical.
- Must be comfortable presenting before mid-level and senior management.
- Flexibility with projects due to the always changing government environment is a must.
Preferred Skills
- USDA or other federal civilian government experience a strong plus (Non-DoD).
- AgMax background a plus.
- ServiceNow experience (project and financial tools) is a plus.
