Manager Central Pharmacy Operations
Position Highlights:
Lead the development, implementation, support, and evaluation of pharmacy operational services in assigned areas. Manage selection, orientation, training, development, and performance evaluation of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy interns. Initiate and maintain effective communication to promote positive department relations across the organization. Demonstrate a dedication to continual patient-oriented pharmaceutical care and constant quality improvement to achieve department and organizational goals within approved operating budget. Assure compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards for medication control and distribution of prescription drugs and controlled substances. Assure that colleagues provide excellence in customer care.

Manager Central Pharmacy Operations:
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of four years practice experience in a hospital with unit dose, IV admixture and formal clinical services required.
Minimum of three years leadership experience required.
Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master of pharmacy degree with 10 years of experience or other advanced degree in pharmacy required.
Demonstrated independent problem-solving and self-directed work experience required.
Proficiency in operational aspects of a complex inpatient central pharmacy operation required.
Demonstrated advancement of patient care/safety through improvement of pharmacy operations required.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, pharmacy and organization leadership, and attending physicians required.
Maturity and coaching leadership skills required.
Licensed in the state of Nebraska or jurisdiction in which pharmacy practice is conducted upon start or transfer required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Supervisory or leadership experience in hospital (150 beds or larger) pharmacy practice preferred.
American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited postgraduate year one or two residency as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice or equivalent experience preferred.
Demonstration of excellence in training undergraduate students, residents and pharmacists as evidenced by student/trainee evaluations preferred.
Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice preferred.
