Mission Loans is seeking experienced mortgage professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment without losing focus on quality of work and delivering an exceptional customer experience. As a Loan Officer Assistant, your primary mission is to support the loan origination staff by communicating loan requirements with customers, processors and loan officers.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicates clearly and effectively with customers, loan agents and other third parties involved in the mortgage loan transaction.
- Collects borrower documentation necessary to complete the loan transaction, such as income documentation, asset statements and initial disclosure documents.
- Accurately enter loan application information into the Byte loan system.
- Verifies the file is locked and disclosures are sent, and validated that the 1003 is complete; notify loan officer if there is missing documentation
- Updates all parties with status of loan as necessary
- Confirms Title and Escrow have been opened and ordered.
- Orders FHA case number and query, refinance authorization, if applicable.
- Orders 4506, print property profiles and elevate file to Processing.
- Maintains high level of professionalism, customer service, and communication with customer, process and Loan Officer.
- Must be able to work flexible schedule that may include some evening and weekend hours.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- High school degree or GED required
- 2+ years recent mortgage operations, underwiring and/or processing experience
- Ability to correctly and accurately structure and price loans
- Ability to read and interpret the 1003, initial disclosures/loan estimate and assess change in circumstances that trigger re-disclosure
- Knowledge and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations applicable to mortgage loan origination and fulfillment
- Knowledge in the following loan programs/products: conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo, refinance and purchase, a plus – Jumbo, Non-QM
- Basic math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Experience with Byte, a plus
- Bilingual (read, write, speak) in Spanish, a plus
