Role Description:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist manages recruiting outcomes within Kimball International. This position will play a crucial role in attracting, sourcing, and hiring top talent to support the growth and success of our organization. This includes recruitment activities and planning, management and development of internal and external stakeholder relationships/strategic partnerships, employer branding initiatives, program management and development, ATS system administration, compliance, and event coordination.
This Talent Acquisition Specialist reviews, screens, and recommends qualified candidates to Hiring Managers for consideration for bi-weekly professional roles. This position will also support talent pipelining efforts for our manufacturing production opportunities. The Talent Acquisition Specialist position builds relationships and conducts proactive outreach with schools, colleges, and community organizations nationally. This position is also strong with social media marketing/campaigning, recruiting technology, and developing other creative methods to attract quality candidates to the organization. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that talent acquisition processes and practices align with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. This position will collaborate closely with the Director of Talent Acquisition, hiring managers, HR teams, and legal/compliance departments to establish and maintain OFCCP compliant recruitment strategies and hiring practices.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their hiring need and define candidate profiles.
- Utilize various sourcing channels, including job boards, social media platforms, professional networks, and direct sourcing, to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
- Screen resumes and applications, conduct initial phone screens, and assess candidates' qualifications and fit for specific roles.
- Conduct in-depth interviews to evaluate candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit within the organization.
- Coordinate and facilitate interview processes, including scheduling interviews, preparing interview materials, and providing feedback to candidates and hiring managers.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future job openings.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract passive candidates.
- Ensure a positive candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the hiring process.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition to optimize recruitment strategies and processes.
- Stay current on relevant employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance in all talent acquisition activities.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of compliance-related documentation, including applicant records, interview notes, and other relevant information.
- Partner with other HR professionals and across the company to achieve KII goals.

Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Marketing, or a related business field (or equivalent experience) is required.
- 2 + years of proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or Recruiter in a corporate setting is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of full cycle recruiting processes, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and evaluating candidates is required.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software/tools is preferred.
- Experience with employer branding and utilizing social media platforms for recruitment is a plus.
- SHRM-CP or SCP preferred.
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus
