Quality Greens Kitchen is a small, up and coming fast casual with a strong culinary focus – we take genuine pride in our work and building our teams. Since opening our first location in Hoboken, Quality Greens Kitchen has been recognized with multiple awards, most notably New Business of the Year (Hoboken Chamber of Commerce). For our newest location, we have expanded into a 3,000 square foot corner space designed by renowned fine-dining architect Garrett Singer.
As the AGM, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary and hospitality operations of our rapidly expanding restaurant group. Your leadership skills and culinary expertise will drive success by providing fine dining quality proteins and sides at a fast casual pace. From creative menu development in a rotating series of Chef’s Specials to managing kitchen operations, your role will be instrumental in ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Travel between Downtown Brooklyn and Hoboken, NJ, will be expected as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Aggressive and constant Quality Control – our food is the most important aspect of our operation, and ensuring it’s consistency and quality is priority one. Line checks are a way of life. Driving food and food safety standards, ensuring the continued excellence of the food at QGK.
- Maintain an A from the DOH, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Lead and engage with a large team of BOH and FOH, leading by example, building people up and coaching the team through their growth. Holding the team accountable to all recipes, standards, and practices in line with QGK values.
- Full P&L responsibilities with a focus on Food and Labor costs
- Collaborate with the management team to analyze customer feedback, market trends, and sales data to continuously improve menu offerings and drive business growth.
- Manage a robust daily catering program with multiple orders delivering to high-level clients.
Qualitfications:
- Proven experience as either an Executive Chef in fine dining or Multi-Unit QSR management experience.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred, but not mandatory with significant industry experience.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, flavor profiles, and menu development.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Keen attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
- Solid understanding of food cost control, inventory management, and kitchen operations.
- In depth knowledge of food safety and DOH regulations
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to perform physical requirements of the position (the ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds). These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
