Position Summary:
Oversee the migration and harmonization of clinical data.
Data Migration
- Assess the current state of the clinical data.
- Develop and execute a data migration strategy, ensuring data integrity during the transfer process.
- Conduct data validation post-migration to confirm successful transfer.
Data Harmonization
- Identify discrepancies and variations in data formats across different datasets.
- Develop and implement data harmonization protocols to standardize datasets.
- Ensure that harmonized data meet clinical and research requirements.
Bioinformatics Analysis
- Apply bioinformatics tools and techniques to analyze clinical datasets.
- Collaborate with clinical researchers to interpret results.
Data Science and Statistical Analysis
- Utilize machine learning and data mining techniques to uncover patterns and insights in clinical data.
- Perform statistical analyses to validate data findings and ensure robustness.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all processes, methodologies, and protocols.
- Generate regular reports summarizing data migration, harmonization, and analysis activities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and clinical standards in data handling and reporting.
Training and Support
- Provide training on new database systems and data analysis tools to clinical and research staff.
- Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting for database and bioinformatics-related issues.
- Develop user guides and training materials to facilitate knowledge transfer.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. degree in a related discipline, or three (3) years of specialized experience plus a Master’s degree, or five (5) years of specialized experience plus a BA/BS.
- Strong computational, bioinformatics and statistics skills with a strong clinical interest, knowledge, and background.
- Ability to learn how to use new software and quickly become expert in its use, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
