Job Description
Paralegal/Case Manager will work directly with our Personal Injury Attorneys in a high volume, fast-paced office environment. Successful candidates will assist the attorney in developing personal injury cases for settlement. The position entails extensive contact with clients, insurance adjusters and medical providers. Candidates must be able to gather, analyze and research documents to manage a high-volume case load. The ideal candidate must be able to multi-task, prioritize and demonstrate attention to detail and time management skills. Excellent organizational, writing and communication skills are essential. Individual must be a team player and placing client care as a top priority.
A minimum of 5 years experience as a Paralegal is required.
Paralegal/Case Manager
- Assist law firm with all aspects of case intake and case management
- Coordinate between attorneys and staff leadership to manage the law firm’s case load, present case summaries/updates and ensure that deadlines are met
- Organize and maintain case files, and information concerning engagement, whether electronic or paper, in accordance with the law firm policies
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines, as well as prioritize work and work under pressure
- Communicate case status with clients as the position requires a great deal of client contact
Qualifications
- High school diploma is acceptable. A minimum of 5 years Paralegal experience is required.
- Previous case management process experience is recommended - preferably as a personal injury case manager, or related jobs such as paralegal, legal secretary, or legal assistant at a law firm, non-profit, or human services agency.
- Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet presentation, and database software
- Self-starter with the ability to effectively manage multiple matters at once
- Possesses exceptional organizational skills as well as effective communication skills, both written and oral
