You Are:
The DevOps Engineering Lead will act under guidance of Lead II/ Architect, understands customer requirements, and translate them into design of new DevOps (CI/CD) components. Capable of managing at least 1 Agile Team.
The Opportunity:
- Ensure site reliability by providing concrete recommendations for internal and external partner teams, including troubleshooting, CI/CD automations, and tool development to support the DevOps model.
- Document processes that cannot be automated, offering engineering teams expertise in availability, performance, and scalability.
- Conduct comprehensive data analysis to identify service trends and drive improvements.
- Build end-to-end documentation and instrumentation of our platform to ensure visibility, automation, self-healing, and resiliency throughout the stack.
- Ensure compliance with general requirements for all deployments to production, including diagrams, dependencies, monitoring and logging plans, backups, and high availability setups.
- Support Change Management processes and functions, ensuring adherence to requirements for new services and deployments.

What you need:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar role, with a deep understanding of industry-standard technical skill sets, Agile methodologies, and capacity planning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and recommend proactive solutions.
- Experience working on Service Now tool Service and operational support automation.
- Strong experience with AWS environment and deployment
- Extensive experience in cloud infrastructure operations, preferably in AWS environment.
- Strong Skills on Linux/UNIX OS Systems and Experience with python scripting
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Illinois
Compensation Range: $76,000-$114,000
Our full-time, regular associates are eligible for 401K matching, and vacation accrual and are covered from day 1 for paid sick time, healthcare, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance benefits.
