Job Description: Counter Associate/Warehouse Assistant
We are looking for someone with a plumbing background, this is a great position for a field plumber who is looking to get off the road and work to help other plumbers find the parts they need to complete their jobs. You will always be in the same place no more running around to multiple jobs each day.
Reports To: Operations Manager
Description: The obligations for the counter associate/warehouse assistant include assisting customers at our walk in counter as well as through email. This position will work with parts identification utilizing Kibiz our internal computer system as well as the internet, part books and working directly with vendors. The position will also include pulling orders, processing orders for shipment and building kits for orders.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Assist customers at the counter and process orders through the system from new order entry to payment and invoicing.
- Research items from photos and samples to identify the products needed for customers.
- Obtain item information, pricing and other pertinent information for entering new items into our computer system.
- Pull items from the warehouse for customers at the counter.
- Answer customer questions via the phone if the customers call in.
- Build item kits for customers at the counter or orders.
- Balance the counter at the end of the day with assistance from other office staff.
- Contact customers when items they are waiting on have come in.
- Pull orders to get them ready for shipping
- Process orders for shipping including applying payments to them.
Work Environment
This job operates in an office and warehouse environment and utilizes computers, phones as well as other standard office supplies. In the warehouse we utilize pallet jacks, ladders and other equipment for processing orders. This position will deal directly with customers in person and will require being presentable.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, [7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.]
