Local 130 Seafood is a rapidly growing wholesale seafood distributor, is seeking an experienced and motivated Seafood Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of our seafood products, including their sources, sustainability, and market trends.
Identify, engage, and acquire new customers, as well as manage and grow existing accounts within your assigned territory.
Conduct in-person and virtual sales presentations, product demonstrations, and customer meetings.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement targeted sales strategies to drive business growth and achieve sales quotas.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and sales activities in our system.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network with potential clients and stay informed about industry developments.
Coordinate with internal teams, including procurement and logistics, to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback, and finding solutions to meet clients' unique needs.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, preferably within the seafood, foodservice, or wholesale industries.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and growing a customer base.
Strong knowledge of seafood products and industry trends, with a commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and other relevant sales tools.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willingness to travel within your assigned territory, as needed.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
