UMMARY OF POSITION
Responsible for performing general maintenance projects with little or no supervision
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to:
Maintenance Manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED
- Read, write, and understand the English language
- Basic math skills.
- Previous industrial manufacturing experience in welding, cutting, hydraulics, fabrications, and installation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform the repair, installation and maintenance of all plant equipment and buildings.
2. Demonstrate consistent improvement in knowledge and skills as outlined in the criteria for advancement.
3. Report any equipment or building condition requiring repair to the Maintenance Manager or Lead person immediately
4. Perform preventative maintenance procedures as required.
5. Complete all documentation as required by the Maintenance Manager or Lead person.
6. Position requires lifting and handling of heavy objects.
7. Assist other mechanics in maintaining a high level of productivity in the plant to include leadership and direction.
8. Furnish own tools common to the trade.
9. Requests all materials necessary for the completion of designated job assignments.
10. Successfully complete job assignments with high skill levels in the areas of welding, cutting, braising, pipe fitting, hydraulics, fabrication, and installation as required.
11. Adheres to plant hygiene regulations to ensure high product integrity.
12. Keeps work area clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
13. Adheres to common safety practices and rules; including wearing protective equipment and clothing as required.
14. Responsible for following food safety, legality, quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities to include but not limited to: GMP’s, food safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc.
15. Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
