Head Chef Position available at Ruby Mountain Heli-Skiing/Ruby 360 Lodge; Lamoille, Nevada
Once in a lifetime position available at Ruby Mountains Helicopter Experience and Ruby 360 Lodge, the longest family-owned helicopter operation in North America.
This position starts immediately for our summer and fall season through October with potential to stay on for our 48th helicopter skiing season this winter.
Successful candidate will have an opportunity to live in beautiful Lamoille, Nevada at the base of the Ruby Mountains and develop with guidance from Francy Royer, Ruby’s founding visionary chef. Strong candidates will have multi-level skills and experience, be highly coachable and have excellent intrapersonal and communication skills.
Requirements:
· Multi-level chef experience with kitchen leadership
· Kitchen inventory/purchasing including product pick-up and stocking
· Menu and recipe design for breakfast, lunch, dinner, bar, events, etc.
· Ability to motivate and lead fast paced open-air kitchen service with a calm demeanor
· Team oriented, collaborative and coachable
· Strong emotional intelligence and ability to process both customer and management feedback
Work description:
· Dinner Service every Wednesday through Saturday. Breakfast for overnight guests
· Special scheduled events (retreats, receptions), scheduling is ongoing
· All meals for package-stay guests (typically 1-6 people) - breakfast, packed lunch, dinner
· Team managing and mentoring as appropriate
· Kitchen and business development as appropriate
Salary/housing
· Salary negotiable based on experience
· Salary is paid bimonthly
· Possibility of extending to year-round position
· Must relocate to Lamoille Nevada
