Cameo Consulting Group, LLC a management consulting practice based out of Alexandria, VA, is seeking multiple qualified and available Senior Financial Analysts to support a prospective Federal client in Chicago, Illinois. The position is full-time, long-term, and available upon contract award.
TASKS AND DUTIES:
· Independently conduct and carry out to completion financial analytical services of alleged federal criminal violations.
· Conduct financial examinations of books, records, electronic data, and other items, as part of the USAO's investigation of federal criminal matters.
· Assist the USAO in obtaining financial and related records pertinent to the investigation.
· May be required to reconstruct partial or inadequate records to the extent necessary for the purpose of investigation.
· Prepare concise and accurate audit reports and other work product reflecting the analysis and investigation of financial matters, and shall prepare detailed charts, summaries, schedules, and demonstrative exhibits as necessary.
· Discuss the financial aspects of a case with AUSAs and help develop trial strategy involving the presentation of this data. Prepare schedules and exhibits for presentation at trial and could testify as an expert or summary witness about information prepared.
· Review allegations and identify sources of information and evidence potentially relevant to the defense of the case (financial, medical, damages, or other litigation, etc.) and relay from those records what other documents and information the AUSA should have and the necessary steps to secure those documents.
· Research FinCen records in the Currency and Banking Retrieval System and prepare summary schedules of information contained in these records.
· Secure and interpret Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) and Suspicious Action Reports (SAR) from FinCen as well as using other databases and system to obtain information as part of investigations.
· Discuss cases with USAO personnel and recommend further courses of action such as closing of the case, further investigation, and institution of administrative, civil or criminal proceedings.
· Participate in conferences and interviews with witnesses.
· Assist AUSA in preparing for the interview of potential witnesses and subjects regarding financial information.
· Participate in the witness interview to review financial information.
· Individuals selected for these positions are subject to a Department of Justice background investigation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree with at least three (3) years of experience providing Federal Financial support.
· Proficient in various computer software programs (e.g., Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook and Word Perfect)
