Summary: The Orthodontic Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists the doctor in procedures
- Takes x-rays
- Assist in the Prophylaxis cleaning of teeth
- Instructs patients on oral hygiene
- Charts cavities and teeth with the doctor
- Sterilizes instruments
- Sets up and prepares rooms for treatment
- Regular, predictable attendance is required
- Ability to get along and work effectively with others
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour
