Job Title: Special Events Beverage Coordinator
Job Summary: Supervise special event staff and beverage operations. Act as the special events liaison for Fernbank with clients and vendors day-of.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervise all aspects of beverage set-up, breakdown and operations during events.
- Ensure that vendors are following internal guidelines.
- Provide positive interaction with guests and assist clients’ needs during events.
- Manage alcohol inventory for all bar services during events.
- Conduct end of night reporting and tip out for all credit card bars.
- Support Beverage Manager with the Museum’s public events, including Fernbank After Dark.
- Ensure compliance with all beverage and DeKalb County regulations.
- Supervise end of night event closeouts by conducting vendor check-outs and final walk through of front and back of house.
- Assist Beverage Manager in maintaining inventory of linen, bar equipment, and other event items.
- Maintain working knowledge of the Museum’s bar offerings including beer, wine, and cocktails.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work 15-20 hours per week, including late nights and weekends.
- At minimum must be 21 years of age or older
- Knowledge of events and beverage industry
- Excellent communication and customer service; team player with positive attitude
- At least one-year experience in a supervisor or manager role
- Bartending experience
- DeKalb County Pour Permit is required.
