Host/Cashier Job Description
Overview:
We are looking for a friendly and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Host/Cashier. As a Host/Cashier, you will play a key role in providing exceptional guest services, managing reservations, handling cash transactions, and ensuring a positive dining experience for our customers.
Duties:
- Welcome and seat guests in a courteous and welcoming manner
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart
- Take customer orders and communicate them to the kitchen staff
- Process payments accurately through the POS system
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the dining area
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly
- Collaborate with the restaurant team to ensure efficient operations
- Uphold hospitality standards to enhance the overall guest experience
Experience:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
- Proficiency in using POS systems for cash handling
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food service procedures and guest relations
- Familiarity with hotel or food service industry practices is a plus
