Leads power system protection and control engineering projects of varying size and complexity, influencing the grid's resiliency, reliability, and economic operation.
- Executes complex assignments, developing new processes and technologies.
- Coordinates project studies and design assignments.
- Performs power system studies and sets system protection on projects up to 500 kV.
- Provides technical guidance, conducts design reviews, and supports quality control.
- Acts as primary contact for client communication.
- Assists in project scope and conceptual design development.
- Trains and mentors junior engineers.
- Supports business development and marketing.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering plus seven years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree plus six years of experience.
- Preferred qualifications include Professional Engineer licensure, experience in protection and control system design, power systems modeling, and knowledge of industry standards and software tools.
