Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Design team to incorporate design changes in new products to improve manufacturing and assembly, and support manufacturing by designing fixtures to improve the production process.
- Create innovative, cost-effective ways of electronics packaging by designing sheet metal, die-cast, and injection-molded plastic parts and assemblies.
- Mechanical design integration of workstation electronics, including CPUs, motherboards, storage, GPUs, adapter cards, power supplies, and other components.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure assigned work proceeds to the agreed-upon master schedule, support the production floor for any quality issues identified for mechanical parts.
- Collaborate with 3rd party services for Mechanical parts manufacturing to expedite samples of new part designs for design verification; coordinate with vendors for any out-of-spec mechanical parts to improve design quality.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested or assigned by the Sr. Mechanical Engineer or Product Design team leader.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering fields related to mechanical disciplines (Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, Robotics, etc.).
- Experience in 3D CAD software for mechanical design such as Creo, SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, etc.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, sharing pertinent information, providing analysis, and recommendations in support of team efforts.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a plus.
