Salary range for this role is $110,000 - $121,500 and is based out of downtown Newport News, Virginia.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Military Experience: Experience with the U.S. Navy is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in acquisition analysis, preferably in the US Navy.
- Extensive experience with highly complex, high-dollar contracts.
- Proficiency in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs).
- Proficiency in Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARs).
- Familiarity with Department of Defense (DOD) Acquisition Pathways.
- Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (Preferred; but not required).
General Experience:
We're seeking an individual with a minimum of five years of increasing responsibility and managerial experience in complex acquisition analysis and contract systems. Your experience should include acumen to develop and implement acquisition strategies, analyze contract requirements/regulations, and manage contract systems. A great Acquisition Analyst shows their ability to successfully navigate contract complexities, showcases leadership, solves problems, and delivers high-quality work products.
Functional Responsibility:
As a Mid-Level Acquisition Analyst, effective communication is key. Working directly with Government customers, you'll perform assigned acquisition analyses, help develop acquisition strategies and monitor vendor performance using accepted analysis practices and techniques. Technical compliance to acquisition and Program Office standards throughout the project is a vital part of your responsibilities.
Specialized Experience:
You should be familiar with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplements (DFARs), and Department of Defense (DOD) Acquisition Pathways. Exposure to large-dollar value and highly complex contracts, along with knowledge of various contract types, is crucial. This includes MAC IDIQ, SA IDIQ, Definitive, OTA/IDV’s (Cost and Fixed Price Vehicles), and understanding funding types such as: OMN, OPN, SCN, and RDTE.

You will work in a collaborative team environment with Government, military personnel, and their support contractors at the executive, manager, and technical levels.
Supervision Given:
This is a non-supervisory position that requires the ability to work with little or no direct supervision. Coordination of efforts with senior government and military leaders is essential. You must seek amplifying information and anticipate customer requirements based on individual work items maturing at different times and stages.
Duties:
Your duties as an acquisition analyst will include:
- Preparing/Developing Technical Advisory Reports (TARs) for Sole Source actions (except PSS contract vehicles).
- Developing PRs in the contract writing system, Standard Procurement System (SPS), and routing to SEA022, SEA024 Divisions.
- Developing COR spreadsheets for funding/admin modifications.
- Assisting CORs/Contract Division with the development, review, and routing of DD1423 DCRLs. Tracking CDRL approvals/disapprovals.
- Developing and maintaining Contract Status Reports (CSRs) for contract vehicles, assisting CORs with CLIN/SLIN data, modification details, and more.
Other Details:
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship is required due to access/handling of Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information.
- Work Location: Primary worksite at Washington Navy Yard, Washington, DC.
- Work includes the use of Navy-provided computing hardware (NMCI) and credentials.
