Minimum required qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
2. Minimum 3 years of experience
3. Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
4. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
5. Excellent time and project management skills with ability to prioritize among competing objectives and meet deadlines
6. Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
7. Public Accounting experience is a plus
8. Knowledge of governmental accounting is a plus
9. Accounting software such as Peachtree, QuickBooks, and Sage Accounting is a plus.
10. Tax software such as Lacerte is plus.
Full Job Description:
1. Be able to process live payroll for up to 75 employees and remit related payroll taxes both manually and in software
2. Quarterly prepare payroll tax reports and annually prepare W-2's and 1099’s
4 Reconcile bank statements
5. Prepare and enter general journal entries in an accounting software
6. Prepare financial statements on a monthly basis for various clients/industries
7. Process Sales and Use Tax Returns monthly/quarterly
8. Assist in annual financial statement audits
9. Prepare annual property tax returns
10. Record fixed assets and depreciation
