Reefer Madness Dispensary is seeking a full-time Lead Budtender to join our team at our 4401 East 46th Ave dispensary location! Experienced budtenders are encouraged to apply.

Position Summary:
The Lead Budtender is an entrusted keyholder position with the company. The individual(s) responsible for this role play(s) a pivotal role in communication between the retail sales floor operations and management in order for successful company operations. The Lead Budtender assists managers with monitoring and maintaining retail operations, leads our budtenders on the sales floor, and acts as a first line of support for our customers. Lead Budtenders are responsible for opening and closing the retail store, monitoring breaks, ensuring that inventory is adequately represented and stocked on the sales floor and online menus, assisting budtenders with customer support and escalating to management as needed, maintaining a positive atmosphere at the facility and keeping the team on track, and communicating supply needs and customer requests with management.
Essential Functions:
- Opening and closing the retail store and cash registers
- Setting the tone for the day and assigning budtender cash registers
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Accurately accounting end of day sales reports and cash deposit
- Ensuring that inventory is adequately represented and stocked
- Assisting budtenders with customer support and escalating to management as needed
- Motivating budtending team members to promote deals and sales and increase cart totals at the POS
- Maintained knowledge of current promotions, available products and brands
- Communicating customer requests with management
- Maintain positive atmosphere on the sales floor and at the facility
- Task management and follow-up
- Ensuring that daily task lists are completed
- Communicating supply needs with management
- Maintaining clean retail environment
- Monitoring budtender breaks and lunch breaks
- Ensuring team clock-in and clock-out durings breaks and at shift start and end

Additional Functions:
- Respond to emergency situations, inspections, and team member phone calls at the assigned location during all operating business hours.
- Responsible for punctuality and attendance of retail staff. Communicate budtender absence and tardiness to management.
- Help promote the company’s vision, and goals; lead by example.

Job Specifications:
- Knowledge and enforcement of the policies, procedures and goals of Building Better Days LLC.
- Skill in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, projecting consequences of proposed actions, and implementing recommendations in support of goals.

- General understanding of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures.

- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
- Annual METRC training and Responsible Vendor Training, required prior to position start date
- Must obtain and retain a state-issued Occupational License.
- Ability to speak and read English, preferred
Minimum Education and Experience:
- One year budtending experience
- Six months of previous leadership experience in a retail setting, preferred
- Expert user of MS Excel
- Proficient user of Google email, word, docs, sheets
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered, including internal experience
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while maintaining focus.
- Must be able to look at a computer screen for long periods.
- Punctuality and attendance is of utmost importance as this is a retail operation with lots of working hours. Customers must be tended to in a timely manner. Adherence to the retail shift schedule is mandatory.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 25 pounds (50 pounds with assistance), may include sitting or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching.

➢ Eligible after 90 days: Medical cannabis recommendation appointment reimbursement, up to $150.
➢ Eligible upon start: FMLA sick pay: Accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked. Max 48 hours per year.
➢ Holiday pay for: New Years Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
➢ Eligible after 60 days: Health Insurance, employer contributes 50% of premium of health insurance for employee up to ‘Silver’ plan contribution. Dental Insurance, employee 100% responsible for dental.
➢ PTO eligible after one year: Accrual of PTO at 1.54 hrs/pay period up to 40 hours/year.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position is responsible for supervision of retail budtending staff in absence of management. This position is not responsible for hiring or terminating employees.
