Day to Day
The Corporate Counsel - Product is self-assured, articulate, and adept at autonomously analyzing and making decisions in a fast-paced, ever-evolving setting. You will be responsible for reviewing Indeed’s products globally for legal compliance and devising strategies to mitigate risks across various jurisdictions. You will be responsible for providing advice on Indeed’s global offerings, draft terms, and aid in compliance. You are tech-savvy with exceptional project and people skills, and accustomed to global collaboration. We seek a detail-oriented, proactive problem-solver for a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Review global products for legal compliance, collaborating with Product and legal analysts to address regulatory concerns and ensure alignment.
- Assess proposed projects, features, and services for Indeed's product and engineering teams, ensuring compliance with diverse regulatory frameworks.
- Draft and update product notices, disclosures, and terms of service
- Work on ad hoc legal compliance projects such as new policies, trainings, templates, and processes
- Monitor and respond to global legal/regulatory developments affecting the company
- Work in partnership with various other departments such as HR, Accounting, Finance, Product, Engineering, International Business Operations, and others, to help identify and answer legal needs
- This position will report to our Lead Counsel - Product
Skills/Competencies
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent law degree.
- Member in good standing of any US state bar.
- 4+ years experience practicing law.
- 2+ years working in a technology or product counsel role.
- Experience in corporate, business, and technology law.
- In-depth understanding of regulatory regimes in HR Tech, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Electronic Communications Privacy Act, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), artificial intelligence (AI) regulations, and related laws.
- Strong analytical skills and sound judgment in making decisions with limited information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for conveying complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Education Requirement: Professional Qualification - must be a qualified lawyer.

New York City Metro Area 160,000 - 240,000 USD per year
San Francisco Bay Area 166,000 - 249,000 USD per year
Unites States Remote 133,000 - 200,000 USD per year

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
