We have an immediate opening for a Site Supervisor having responsibility for Generated Gases on-site plants in the Goose Creek SC PHG and Columbia SA VSA facility along with support of other Air Products assets in the area.
The Site Supervisor will be primarily responsible for all phases of operation of the Goose Creek, SC PHG and Columbia, SC VSA facilities. The chosen candidate will need to obtain an understanding of all aspects of the sites’ responsibilities (plant operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and customer communications) with a specific focus on leadership and operating skills at this facility. The sites are operated and maintained by one person.
A Generated Gases Site Supervisor must be self-motivated, safety conscious, a good communicator and possess good organization, operating, and mechanical skills.
Key responsibilities for this position include:

Commitment to safety including Basic Safety Performance (BSP) compliance and process safety management.

Promotion and support of customer relations through effective communications and customer interactions.

Completion of all administrative responsibilities for the site.

Leading all aspects of the day to day operation, including but not limited to:
-
Troubleshooting plant process or mechanical problems, coordinating and performing maintenance activities, driving plant efficiency and plant projects.

24/7 on-call responsibilities for response to plant alarms and shutdowns.

Identifying maintenance concerns, developing and implementing corrective/preventive measures while working within planned maintenance budgets.

Working and communicating regularly and effectively with the North America Operating Service Center (OSC), asset manager, regional maintenance manager, tech support team, and PHG Operations Line Manager.

This role is a safety sensitive position.
Candidates for this position will be evaluated on the following:

A track record of success in EH&S and Quality.
-
A self-starter with proven leadership abilities. Self-led and highly motivated to plan and ensure the completed execution of all tasks required by our safety, environmental and engineering standards.

Experience with operation of steam methane reformer (SMR) Hydrogen plants and/or Air Separation Units (ASUs) is a plus but not a specific requirement as training will be provided for the successful candidate.

Strong communication and organizational skills.
-
Ability to work independently but equally able to work effectively in a team environment.

Demonstrated computer skills
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to climb ladders and steps and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Be able to meet call-in requirements as needed.
-
Elevated work required.
Education and Licensing Requirements:
-
3+ years of process plant operation/maintenance experience preferred (Civilian or Military).

A Demonstrated commitment to supporting Environmental, Health, and Safety programs.

Ability to build strong relationships with multiple support groups.
-
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Willingness to work alone as needed.

A lead from the front attitude when unplanned plant events arise.
Work Hours & Benefits:
Willing to support plant operators off hours when needed. On call (24/7)
