The County of Patrick is accepting applications from qualified applicants for the position of full-time firefighter/EMT-B. Minimum requirements include high school graduate or equivalent, valid State of VA Driver’s License, DMV record with a zero or plus points balance, VA EMT-B and EVOC III. The preferred candidate will hold Firefighter I and Haz-Mat Ops. The successful candidate must pass a background investigation and drug screen.
This is a full-time position with benefits that include health insurance, retirement, life insurance, vacation, sick leave, and paid holidays. Shift and leave hours are paid at an hourly rate of $18.34. Retirement and life insurance are based on an annual salary of $38,139. Benefits package totals more than $15,000 annually.
