This opportunity is for Military personnel who are current participants of the Department of Defense Skillbridge Program or are participants of the Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 3-2024
As a Specialist of Quality Engineering, you will be responsible for analyzing the requirements, assessing test coverage required, defining and executing test scenarios in timely manner. You will also be responsible for delivering a high quality product. You will apply automation techniques to deliver faster test results and enable faster to market of resp Verizon programs.
Working with a team of quality engineers and with partners like Developers, SME, Architects and Business Analysts on test activities and deliverables.
Defining test scenarios, test cases, execution of tests, publish test reports; for given set of requirements.
Owning and delivering modules of programs independently.
Contributing towards automation/framework using standard test automation tools for the respective area of work.
Leading couple of quality engineers and driving results as a team.
Leveraging the testing lifecycles tools, DevOps/Agile tools for day-to-day operations, status reporting and to collaborate with other partners.
Innovating for process transformation and improving the overall delivery excellence by working through project dynamics.
You enjoy working on testing principles and applying different testing techniques to deliver a high quality product. You stay focused and enjoy the challenge that comes with this role and are able to manage work effectively in a dynamic, complex and deadline-oriented environment. You are curious to work with multiple stakeholders and enjoy networking and managing effective working relationships.
Must be a current participant of the Department of Defense Skillbridge Program or of the Hiring our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program.
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Three or more years of relevant work experience.
Project management and meeting facilitation
Exceptional technical acumen (coding not required, but a plus)
Able to review system logs and XML
Understanding of Agile methodology
Understanding of User Acceptance Testing
Familiarity with JIRA software
Exceptional understanding of Google Workspace tools
Familiarity with testing automation software such as ‘Ranorex’ a plus
Previous experience with large business billing systems a plus
