Variety Child Learning Center (VCLC) is a not-for-profit agency providing quality educational and therapeutic services to young children with disabilities. We are currently accepting applications for a SeniorBehavior Analyst (BCBA). The Senior Behavior Analyst will play a crucial role in overseeing the implementation and coordination of behavior analysis programs. This position requires expertise in applied behavior analysis (ABA) and a deep understanding of the unique challenges of young children with disabilities
Essential Functions:
1. Provide Leadership and Supervision: Supervise BCBA professionals in the development and implementation of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs); Supervise the Behavior Support Specialist who assists the classroom team during elevated behavior/crisis situations and who is responsible for the collection and preparation of Behavior Incident Report and Student Incident Report data; Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback, and facilitating professional development opportunities
2. Program Development and Implementation: Develop, Implement and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans based on comprehensive assessments and data analysis; Monitor the progress of behavior intervention plans and make necessary adjustments to ensure positive outcomes for students; Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to analyze challenging behaviors and determine their underlying causes; Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and ethical guidelines in behavior analysis. comprehensive, individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) based on the results of the FBAs, report on progress and conduct fidelity checks to ensure that BIPs are being implemented correctly; Collaborate with Education Coordinators, Teachers and other school staff to provide training and support in behavior management strategies. and ensure consistent implementation of behavior support strategies.
3. Data Collection and Analysis: Oversee the collection and analysis of data related to student behavior, progress and intervention effectiveness; Utilize data to make informed decisions regarding program modifications and adjustments; Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and behavior intervention plans.
4. Collaborative Teamwork: Foster a collaborative and supportive environment among BCBA staff, teachers and other school personnel; Collaborate with other professionals, such as education coordinators, psychologists, speech language pathologies, physical therapists, occupational therapists, social workers, to ensure a comprehensive approach to student support; Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and individual student evaluations to provide expertise and support
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Special Ed, Psychology, Applied Behavioral Analysis or Related Field
- BCBA Certification and Current NY state license
- 3-5years ABA experience
- 1-3 years Supervisory experience
- Strong leadership and written communication skills.
This is a Full-Time, Benefit Eligible Position, Monday - Friday, typically work 35 hours/week - 212 days/year. VCLC operates 12 months
