The Mountain West News Bureau was founded by Boise State Public Radio. It is a news collaboration of public media stations, serving Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, and Wyoming. Our mission is to tell stories about the people, places and issues across the Mountain West. We explore topics such as land and water management, the growth of its cities, Western culture and heritage, rural-urban divides, and the impact of climate, especially on tribal communities.
Boise State Public Radio is Idaho’s largest nonprofit, listener-supported NPR member station, reaching the region's metropolitan and rural areas. As primary sources of quality public radio news, classical music, and jazz, our radio stations are distinct in their mission, their audience, and their partnerships.
